M.S. Business Administration - Business Intelligence and Data Analysis, Class of 2020
I am an international graduate student at the City University of New York – Brooklyn College. I graduated with an M.S. degree in Business Intelligence and Data Analysis with a 4.0 GPA. I chose this degree because I have always been interested in the field of Business Analytics. After graduating from the top business school in Pakistan (LUMS) and working for three years in multiple industries as a Data Analyst, I was ready for the next step in my career.
I wanted to acquire the latest skills and get hands-on experience using cutting edge tools and analytics programs. I chose Brooklyn College because it was relatively affordable, had a good curriculum, and was located in a diverse part of NYC, the most vibrant city in the world. And boy, was it diverse! I have had the opportunity to work and interact with people from all over the world.
I found the environment at Brooklyn College very conducive to learning, the instructors and peers much more friendly and helpful, and the overall educational system and way of thinking a better fit to my skills and mindset.
After graduation, I am ready to apply the concepts I’ve learned by working via the Optional Practical Training program and then get involved with this field on a deeper level by pursuing a Doctorate.
