Tow Faculty Research and Creativity Grant Program
February 22, 2022
Dear colleagues,
I am delighted to announce the Tow Faculty Research and Creativity grant program.
Purpose of Program
This program supports faculty research toward peer-reviewed publication or creative work. The funds are designed to support the career advancement of fulltime faculty across the disciplines. Faculty at any stage of the research or creative process may apply. This year funds may be used to support conference registration when presenting a paper that leads to publication, materials and equipment, translations, student research assistance, subvention, indexing, reproduction rights, the purchase of specialized datasets, software, travel to collections (depending on COVID restrictions), and technologies that enable research that the college does not customarily provide. Seed funding to develop proposals for external support are also possible. Depending on the number of applications, awards may fund a project in whole or in part, with an average range of $500-$3,000. Faculty salary and reassigned time are not supported by this program. Funds need to be spent by the end of the Fall 2022 semester. We anticipate that we will announce another round of funding in October 2022.
Eligibility
All full-time faculty are eligible to apply. Faculty without major external grant support and who have not recently received college funding support will be prioritized.
