Professor Christopher Dunbar

Dear students, staff, and faculty,
It is with great sadness that I share the heartbreaking news that Professor Christopher Dunbar died unexpectedly in his sleep last Friday, April 1. Professor Dunbar, a full professor in the Department of Biology and a graduate program director, previously served as chair of the Department of Kinesiology at the College. Professor Dunbar taught courses and published extensively in the areas of exercise physiology, exercise prescription, exercise testing, and ECG. His service to the entire college community for over 30 years will never be forgotten.
Students may contact Personal Counseling Services if in need of grief or counseling services, while faculty and staff may find resources to help at CUNY Work/Life Program.
Our thoughts are with his beloved family and his many colleagues who will miss him dearly. Let us all find strength and comfort in his memories as we go through this difficult time.
