To the Brooklyn College Community,
Spring is here and we are heading toward the finish line for this semester. April is a particularly special month, with monthlong and special days to acknowledge. For instance, April is CUNY Disability Awareness Month. This university initiative helps to raise awareness about disability issues and celebrates the varied contributions of the members of our community with disabilities.
April also celebrates Arab-American heritage and culture by paying tribute through celebration of the community's rich heritage and numerous contributions to society.
In addition, April is Celebrate Diversity Month, a celebration initiated to honor and recognize the layers of diversity surrounding us all. I invite you to participate in the variety of programs and events offered this month.
April is designated as the following:

- April 20: Youth Homelessness Matters Day
- April 21: Adviser Appreciation Day
- April 22: Earth Day
- April 23: Passover Ends
- April 24: Orthodox Easter
- April 29: Ninth Day of Ridvan
