Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS)
Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) is the international business honor society. Since 1913, BGS has recognized and honored top-performing students from around the world in business schools accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), which are the top 5% of business school programs around the world.
The mission of BGS is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, to cultivate and celebrate leadership and professional excellence, to advance the values of the society, and to serve its lifelong members.
Beta Gamma Sigma lifetime members are indeed considered the best of the best students of business in the world. This fact has not been lost on colleges and universities. They know that to have the best graduate program in business, they must recruit the best students. They understand that lifetime membership in BGS is an indicator of proven academic excellence and a beacon of future success.
Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International. Our members are the top 10% of a baccalaureate business program and the top 20% of a master's business program after completing half of their program.
Students are selected and invited to become lifetime members of BGS by the Brooklyn College Beta Gamma Sigma chapter. An induction ceremony to honor new BGS members is held in the spring of each year. For further information, contact the Brooklyn College BGS chapter.
