Important Reminders
LING 3019 Morphology and 3020 Phonology are offered every fall, and LING 3021 Syntax and 3022 Semantics are offered every spring.
LING 4001W Senior Seminar is offered only once a year, in the fall.
Extra courses from areas 2 and 3 can be applied toward area 4 (but not the other way around).
There is no language requirement for the LING major, but you can apply one (and only one) "advanced" language course to area 4. For the definition of "advanced," see at the bottom of the "Degree Requirements" page (link at the top of the side column).
