The Checklists for Majors and Minors outline in an easy-to-understand manner the requirements for each major and minor that our department offers and will help you keep track of your progress toward fulfilling these requirements.
Degree Maps for Philosophy Majors
Degree Maps provide a snapshot of the requirements for our majors as well as a suggested order in which to take classes that will help students stay on track and graduate within four years. The maps also help distinguish what courses qualify as Pathways, major, or general elective courses.
The majors our department offers are unique in that students are not necessarily required to take courses in a particular order. There are various course-sequences students can follow to complete the majors. The order of courses presented in the Degree Maps is simply one suggestion, among many, and meant more as a general guide for philosophy majors.
