Global Seal of Biliteracy
The Modern Languages and Literatures Department now offers the STAMP and WorldSpeak tests that are accepted for the Global Seal of Biliteracy, a credential that celebrates language skills and expands future opportunities for its recipients. The STAMP and WorldSpeak tests must be proctored and completed in 180 minutes. Students can chose an online proctoring option or they can go into the Language Lab, 4316 Boylan Hall, to take the test. Students who receive a score of at least five on all domains tested are eligible for the Global Seal of Biliteracy. The department will submit their scores for a Global Seal, a language skills certificate that is recognized across state lines and national borders. The free certificate will be mailed to the department and it will be given to the student. Each certificate is numbered and can be tied into students' LinkedIn profiles and put on their resume. This is a great way for students who are graduating to showcase their language skills to any graduate school or employer.
