Brooklyn College at ASN Nutrition 2020!
May 21, 2020
This year the American Society for Nutrition is hosting its annual meeting, Nutrition 2020, online. The meeting is free and open to the public. We are thrilled to have faculty and students participate in this meeting, presenting research spanning from bench science to the food environment – a true reflection of the rich interdisciplinary nature of our Health and Nutrition Sciences Department!
We are also thrilled to share that our student, Hunter Korsmo (PhD candidate in Biochemistry), was selected as an Emerging Leaders in Nutrition Science Finalist, for the abstract co-authored with Prof. Xinyin Jiang, titled, “Maternal Choline Supplementation Supports Resistance to Effects of Prolonged Western Diet Feeding in Mice Offspring.” Also, Prof. Melissa Fuster’s abstract, “Examining Community Restaurant Nutrition Environments for Cardiovascular Health: An Assessment of Hispanic Caribbean Restaurants in New York City,” was selected for an oral presentation as part of the Community and Public Health Nutrition RIS meeting, June 1st, 4:30-5:30pm.
