Performance and Interactive Media Arts

The graduate program in performance and interactive media arts (PIMA) will help you to develop into a performance artist with a reputation for innovation and creative success. Our program will give you the tools to conceive and execute collaborative, multidisciplinary theatrical pieces. PIMA will teach you to explore ways to use technology in artistic collaborations with various creative disciplines. You will study with students from diverse backgrounds who may already have an established career in an art field, and who bring with them a wealth of influences and contacts. Another important component of the program is the intense mentoring you will receive from successful alumni and faculty from four departments—Art, Computer and Information Science, Television and Radio, and Theater—as well as the Conservatory of Music. Even before you graduate, you will have realized your artistic vision.
