Pianist and M.A. Musicology Candidate Liu Ye Lauded

Sina, one of China's major portal Web media, recently published an article about conservatory pianist and M.A. musicology candidate Liu Ye and her budding career as a piano scholar. Titled "Piano Scholar Liu Ye: 'Study Piano with Happiness; Be a Good Human Being Before Becoming an Artist'," the article talks about Ye's musical background (international piano competition winner, author of many academic articles, scholar working to bridge music cultures), her thoughts on music education in both Chinese and American colleges, and her suggestions to Chinese music students who want to study abroad.
