Dalcroze Eurythmics.
Why did you begin taking music lessons?
I loved playing the piano as a child.
How old were you when you started music lessons?
Six years old.

Yes.
Do you have a favorite musical memory from childhood?
Playing in a student recital.
How do you vary your approach when you teach children at different ages and levels?
With younger children, I teach simple movements and songs. With older children, I teach more complex songs, rhythms, and musical concepts through movement.
What are your most important goals for your students?
My goals are that my students will learn to move differently depending on what music they hear. Also, that they gain self-confidence and self-expression through singing and moving to the music.
What are the most important recommendations that you give to parents whose children study music?
Sing and move with your child. Point out sounds in nature and machines that are different speeds, pitches, and rhythms. Help your child love creating melodies and musical stories.
What do you like best about teaching music?
Sharing my love of music with the students, helping students grow musically, and inspiring my students to achieve their fullest potential.
