LSAMP-Apprentice Program - Freshman Year
Successful applicants are expected to attend a one-credit (pass/fail) seminar offered weekly in the spring semester during common hours (Thursdays, 1–2 p.m.) of their freshman year:
Upon completion of the freshman seminar, LSAMP Apprentices may consider applying for a research fellowship offered annually through the LSAMP-Fellows Program for laboratory research conducted during their sophomore year.

Eligibility Requirements
- Student should be a member of a historically underrepresented group, including but not limited to: African American, Hispanic/Latino, Native American and Pacific Islander.
- Student must be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. permanent resident.
- Student must be a freshman at Brooklyn College (fewer than 30 credits at the time of application).
- Student must show a demonstrated interest in pursuing a STEM major and a research-based career or academic program.
