In-Person and Telemedical Appointments
Walk into 114 Roosevelt Hall, Monday–Thursday; e-mail the Health Clinic; or leave a message at 718.951.5580 with your full name and phone number. You may also schedule to see us via BC WebCentral e-services Student Affairs Tool for the Health Clinic.
All visits are free. There is no fee or copay to see a practitioner, though patients who elect to get laboratory evaluations or receive medication may encounter costs. See Costs and Fees, below.
- Evaluation and treatment for most illnesses and common medical conditions (e.g., asthma, skin conditions, high blood pressure, anxiety, anemia, thyroid dysfunction, depression, injuries, diabetes, stomach problems, sore throat, suturing, etc.)
- Wellness check-ups/pre-participation physical exams for employment, internships, athletics, DMV, etc.

- Birth control, including emergency contraception (ella, Plan B)

Social Services
The higher education case manager helps students by coordinating services, supporting efforts across the campus and within the community to assist students facing crises, life traumas, and other barriers that may impede their success. This service is not under the auspices of Student Support Services.
Nutrition Services—Temporarily Unavailable
Nutrition services are temporarily unavailable. Offered in collaboration with the Department of Health and Nutrition Sciences, the Nutrition Clinic offers Brooklyn College students free consultation by a registered dietitian.

Health Education
The Health Clinic provides workshops and conferences on a variety of health topics and works with classes and student groups to provide health education.
Eligibility
The Health Clinic is funded primarily through student activity fees.
Visits to the Health Clinic are available to all Brooklyn College undergraduate and graduate students.
Cost and Fees
All visits are all free and confidential. On-site diagnostic testing is free. Modest fees may be requested for prescription medications. Laboratory test fees analyzed off-site that are not covered by health insurance are the responsibility of the patient.
While efforts are made to keep the fee schedule current, costs listed below are subject to change without notice.

Diagnostic Testing
On-site Laboratory Tests—Free
Pregnancy detection, HIV rapid testing, urinalysis, glucose finger stick, strep test, vaginal infection evaluation.
Gonorrhea and chlamydia screening by urine (pdf)—FREE*
* 26 or younger without insurance or in need of confidentiality from policy-holders; once per year.

Other Laboratory Tests
- Blood tests, cultures, biopsies, cytology—will be billed by Quest Diagnostics to one's insurance or to the uninsured patient at reduced cost.
TB Skin Test (PPD, Mantoux)
Skin tests are planted on Mondays and Tuesday; patient returns for interpretation 48 to 72 hours later, on a Wednesday or Thursday.
Prescription Medications
- Acute care (short-term problems needing antibiotics, antivirals, creams, ointments, cough syrup, pain relievers, etc.)—FREE
- Monthly treatments (chronic or long-term conditions, and birth control pills)—$10
- Emergency contraception (ella)—$10
The BC Health Clinic is not a pharmacy. Prescriptions require consultation with a BC Clinic practitioner.

- Small quantities of over-the-counter medications, male and female condoms, BAND-AIDS, sanitary pads, tampons, etc.—FREE
- Emergency Contraceptive Pills (ECPs):
