Be advised that the Brooklyn College Student Center no longer holds a liquor license. Therefore, the Student Center is not able to provide or sell alcoholic beverages at any events.
Event coordinators who desire to have alcoholic beverages served at events may only do so by contracting with a licensed/registered caterer who has or is able to obtain a liquor license which permits the caterer to serve at varying locations from the State Liquor Authority of New York. All selected caterers must submit or previously have on file a certificate of liability adding the Student Center as a certificate holder as well as adding the Student Center, Brooklyn College, City University of New York, State of New York, City of New York, and Dormitory Authority of the State of New York as additionally insured. In addition to the liquor license, the caterer must also obtain a caterer permit to host the event within the Student Center. All documents must be submitted to the Student Center Administrative Office at least four weeks prior to the event date.
Staff, students, and external clients are prohibited from obtaining, providing, or purchasing their "own" alcohol at the Student Center, on campus, or at any other CUNY buildings. The CUNY Drug & Alcohol Policy provides more information. Should you have any further questions, e-mail the Student Center.
