Updates
- Registration for fall classes is now open. Please e-mail adultliteracy@brooklyn.cuny.edu for more information and to start the registration process.
- Classes begin September 12, 2022 and end December 16, 2022.
- Classes will be 75% online and 25% in-person.
- Students will need to take a placement test in-person and be fully vaccinated.
- Our Testing Center is currently closed. Check back in the future for more updates.
Placement Testing
All placement testing will be done in person even when classes are virtual/hybrid. Your placement test will determine which class you will join. Every student will need to show proof of vaccination on the day of your placement test.
Qualifications
To be eligible, you have to present a New York State ID, be at least 18 years old, and a resident of New York State. Classes are for free and will be virtual via Zoom. The class schedule will be decided after registration. We have morning and evening classes depending on availability.
