Adult Literacy Program

The Brooklyn College Adult Literacy Program provides free classes to all New York State residents who are at least 18 years old. We offer two programs:

High School Equivalency (GED) classes that will help you prepare for the TASC Exam.
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) to help you improve your English skills.

Case management is provided to all our students to help connect them to resources while in our program and after.

Updates

Registration for fall classes is now open. Please e-mail adultliteracy@brooklyn.cuny.edu for more information and to start the registration process.
- Classes begin September 12, 2022 and end December 16, 2022.
- Classes will be 75% online and 25% in-person.
- Students will need to take a placement test in-person and be fully vaccinated.
Our Testing Center is currently closed. Check back in the future for more updates.
