International Undergraduate Application Requirements
*Please note that CUNY has suspended the SAT/ACT requirement for the Spring 2021, Fall 2021 and Spring 2022.*
Applications will not be considered complete or evaluated until all required documents have been submitted and the application fee has been paid.
The freshman application fee is US$65. The transfer application fee is US$70.
Official translations must be submitted for all documents written in a language other than English. Copies of the original documents must accompany the translations. Required Secondary School Credentials for prospective international students.
Freshman Applicants
Freshman applicants are students who never attended any postsecondary institution after graduating from secondary school. You will need to submit a copy of your complete academic record (all years), as well as any national or government certificates earned. Transfer Applicants
Transfer applicants are students who attended any postsecondary institution after completing secondary school. You will need to request an official transcript from each university in order to be considered for admissions.
If you have completed less than one year of full time university level studies, along with your official transcript, you must submit your secondary school record with course work.
If you have completed more than one year of the full time university level studies, along with your official transcript, you must submit proof of your secondary school graduation.

TOEFL / IELTS / Pearson/ Duolingo
Foreign nationals on temporary immigration status whose native language is not English and whose secondary and postsecondary schooling was not in English are required to take an English proficiency examination. Brooklyn College accepts TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, and Pearson. See the scores below:

F-1 Students
Applicants with F-1 student status or looking to gain F-1 student status are accepted as matriculated students only. Students in this status must attend full time. In order to obtain the I-20 Certificate of Eligibility from the college and to apply for a visa to study legally in the United States, students must prove their financial ability.
