Our students conduct much of their research using the hundreds of computers in our library.

Computing at the Library

Computer labs are located on the first and second floors, as well as the lower level, of the library, and in the Library Café.

There are hundreds of PCs and a dozen Macs available to all library users:

140 PCs are available on the lower level (installed software).
144 PCs are available on the first floor:
- 124 PCs in the reference area (installed software), and
- 20 PCs in the Reserve Room (installed software).
118 PCs and 12 Macs are available on the second floor (installed software).

Additionally, there are computer labs located in the Library Café (65 PCs and 14 Macs) and West End Building (hundreds of computers, including PCs, Macs and Sun/UNIX machines).
