  • BC Sustainability Club Overview

BC Sustainability Club Overview

This student club aspires to promote the ideals of sustainability through cross-department, interdisciplinary relationships on campus while building connects with members of the surrounding community. Last year, we hosted informational sessions on sustainability concerns around the world, the highlight being a guest lecture by Noam Bedein, an Israeli photojournalist who has dedicated his life to the restoration of the Dead Sea by leading the Dead Sea Revival Project (DSRP). This non-profit organization aims to raise awareness regarding the impacts of climate change on the geological and biological features of the Dead Sea through environmental awareness and education by the lens of photography. In addition to events like these, we also share resources amongst each other, including career resources and advice.

December 4th, 2020 from 12:00 PM - 2:30 PM

The first TEDxCUNY Salon event will be held virtually on December 4th, 2020 from 12:00 PM - 2:30 PM. The theme will be exploring Ripple Effects. In times of struggle, we have seen how our communities take action. When we do, we have an impact far beyond ourselves and our own communities that extend generations beyond. Let us take the afternoon to ask: What are the consequences, legacies, and ripple effects we co-create?
