Brooklyn College Internship/Job Fairs

Students can meet with more than 70 employers at the Brooklyn College Internship/Job Fairs, which are held in the Student Center. Employers are recruiting for their full-time and part-time jobs and internships in all areas. Employers participating include 1010 WINS, Jumpstart, TD Bank, Ion Media Networks, Peace Corps, U.S. State Department, PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG, and NYPIRG. To help students make a strong impression at the fair, the center offers workshops and extended hours for résumé review. For details and to register for the job fair and other events, go to the Career section of the BC WebCentral Portral or call 718.951.5696.

Magner Career Center Internship Support

You are also encouraged to work with the Brooklyn College Magner Career Center, which helps in both internship and job placement. To take advantage of all the center has to offer, register on the BC WebCentral Portal by clicking on the Career Tab, visit the center at 1303 James Hall, call 718.951.5696, or sign up for workshops and jobs.

Specific opportunities at the center include the following.

The Magner Job/Internship Recruitment Program

A comprehensive recruitment Magner Stipend Application Guide program for Brooklyn College students in the fall and spring semesters is open to all students seeking paid and unpaid internships and/or entry-level employment in their career field. Undergraduates, graduate students, and recent alumni may participate. The program assists students with the creation of a professional résumé and the development of effective interviewing skills, and provides access to employers through the Web-based e-Recruiting program, job fairs, and other means. For more information, visit the Magner Career Center webpage.

Internship stipends

The center offers a stipend program to help afford an unpaid internship or other career experience (student teaching, research, and some volunteer experiences qualify). Last year we gave away over $120,000 to students doing unpaid internships. For guidelines on the application, see Magner Stipend Application Guide. Apply online.

Internship Workshop Schedule

The schedule features a range of informative events, from Internships with Social Impact: Government, Nonprofit, Education, and Social Services, to Secrets of the Highly Successful, with college alumni.
