You want to take what you've learned about the mechanics and effects of speech to the next level. The Department of Communication Arts, Sciences, and Disorders has both the distinguished faculty and the cutting-edge resources that will help you attain that goal. You'll have access to a comprehensive range of studies in all aspects of human speech and related pathologies. Through a combination of course work, research, and clinical practicum, you'll gain a thorough grounding in the mechanics of speech and learn to recognize and treat speech disorders in adults and children, including those related to the voice, language, aphasia, stuttering, speech-and-language learning disabilities, and others.
