On Critical Thinking
Chukwunonso Nwasike, Biology / Philosophy
Critical thinking is probably the most important skill to develop in university. The knowledge is important, too, and gaining that is also pivotal, but there is no Google for problem solving. If you don't know something, you can look it up, but there isn't going to be a place in life where you can plug in your problem and get a solution. You need to work on critical thinking and problem solving. Every aspect of your life you will need to solve problems, personal and professional. I won't lie, there are going to be a ton of facts that I learned in undergrad that I'll forget, but I will never forget how to get back to the answers I found. Critical thinking is learning how to learn.
