Deb Shoval's films have premiered at the Sundance and Tribeca film festivals. Her feature film AWOL, starring Lola Kirke and Breeda Wool, is currently available in the US on Hulu, Amazon, iTunes and GooglePlay, and in 66+ countries worldwide. Shoval has made work in Israel/Palestine, Lebanon, rural Pennsylvania and Alaska; she is currently in development on an action/thriller set in the US and Mexico. Shoval has an M.F.A. in Film from Columbia University and a BA in Sustainable Agriculture from Hampshire College. She works with Black Lives Matter in the Schools NYC and the White Noise Collective and is on the board of Next Barn Over Farm in Hadley, MA. Shoval's teaching resumé includes NYU, City College of New York, and Brooklyn College.
