Fall: Take foreign language exam. Spring: Register to graduate, take the comprehensive exams, submit thesis title and thesis.
Total Credits: 30-36
- Student must see a faculty advisor in music prior to each semester for music registration permissions.
- Most students complete this program in two to three years, however, coursework and thesis submission may be spread out over up to 5-years.
- In-state students may wish to take more credits in the first year.
- Out-of-state students are encouraged to move to New York before classes begin in the first term in order to qualify for New York State residency and in-state tuition for the second year.
- Students who do not choose to write a thesis must complete 2 additional seminars chosen from 7601-7651, 7840,7850,7860. In this case the student is expected to graduate with 36 credits.
