Mark Schnaible has served on the voice faculties of various noted summer opera programs such as the International Institute of Vocal Arts in Chiari, Italy, Intermezzo Foundation in Hartford, Connecticut and Brugge, Belgium, Sherrill Milnes VoicExperience Foundation at Disney in Tampa, Florida as well as Savannah, Georgia, the LidalNorth International Opera Workshop in Oslo, Norway, and the Israel Vocal Arts Institute in Tel-Aviv. He was formerly Associate Professor of Voice at Boston University and Visiting Associate Professor of Voice at Rutgers University, and remains on the voice faculty of Brooklyn College's Conservatory of Music. Since 2001, he has maintained a private voice studio in New York City where his students continue to excel and are regularly chosen for young artist programs including Chautauqua Opera, Opera Theater of St. Louis, Ashlawn-Highland Opera Festival, Sarasota Opera, Utah Festival Opera, Santa Fe Opera Apprenticeship Program, Ohio Light Opera, Sarasota and San Francisco Opera’s Merola Program as well as the art song programs, SongFest, and the Ravinia Steans Institute for Voice. His students are past winners of the Metropolitan Opera National Council's auditions as well as numerous competitions in the United States and Europe. They have appeared at leading opera houses including Covent Garden, English National Opera, Barcelona Liceo, Berlin Komische Opera, and Deutsche Oper Berlin, as well as many regional houses in the United States. He regularly gives masterclasses throughout the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.
Bass-baritone Mark Schnaible has sung over 75 leading roles with Oper Leipzig, Theater Lübeck, Bergen National Opera, Polish National Opera, Athens Megaron Theater, Wien Modern, Zürich Opera, Choregies d’Orange Festival, Glimmerglass Opera, Hong Kong Philharmonic, Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival, and Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, as well as with many regional houses throughout the United States with such notable conductors as Bertrand de Billy, Edo de Waart, Christoph Eschenbach, Seiji Ozawa, Michel Plasson, and Franz Welser-Möst. He holds an honorary Doctor of Music degree for his contributions to performance and teaching.
