Isabel Milenski

Ms. Milenski was appointed Director of the Opera at Brooklyn College in 2018. Recent directorial credits include Carmen, Cosi fan tutte, Cenerentola, Rigoletto, and Carmen for Opera in Williamsburg, Virginia. For the Long Beach Opera in California, she has staged Shostakovich’s Moscow, Cherry Town, Janacek’s Jenufa, Milhaud's Trois Operas Minutes, Richard Strauss' The Silent Woman, and Handel's Semele. At the Los Angeles Getty Center, she has directed Peri’s Euridice, and Virginia Woolf's play Freshwater. Ms. Milenski founded Floating Opera New York in 2016 where she produced and directed Pelleas and Mellisande and is a regular director with Oberlin in Italy as well as other national and international young artist programs. Ms. Milenski also holds the position of Artistic Director of the opera at Hofstra University.
