Majors, Minors, and Concentrations
The economics program at Brooklyn College broadens the professional horizon of students and provides them with the tools required to pursue a career or an advanced degree in economics or a related discipline. The bachelor of arts degree in economics allows students to choose from five concentrations: enterprise and public policy, international economics, financial economics, political economics, and economic analysis.
The economics program gives students the flexibility to choose to specialize in a field in economics or to complete a minor while pursuing a specialization in business, accounting, or a major outside the Koppelman School of Business.
The departments of Accounting, Business Management, Economics, and Finance work closely with the Brooklyn College Magner Career Center. Grants from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and the Citigroup Foundation have allowed the departments to develop internships at small businesses throughout New York City for students interested in entrepreneurship.
