Instructions for Authors
Eligible works
We accept any original research or review work created by an undergraduate Brooklyn College student. Content domains include any field in the Natural and Behavioral Sciences (NBS). Submission implies that all authors have read and agreed to its content and that any experimental research reported in the manuscript has been performed with the approval of an appropriate ethics committee.
Manuscript Preparation
- Word limit: 2000
- Formatting style: Chicago Manual of Style, author-date system. For guidelines, see the Chicago Manual of Style website.
- Please position tables/figures in the document as submitted. For each figure there should be a figure number indicating the sequence of the figures, a short title for the figure (15 words max), and a description of the figure (300 word max).
- Any work containing plagiarized, defamatory, or libelous content will be formally rejected from publication.
- It is the responsibility of the author(s) to obtain permission from the copyright holder to reproduce figures, tables, or other media that have been previously published.
- Submissions must not be a protected file format; submission must be sent in a .doc or .docx format.
Review Process
Undergraduate peers will review each submission and recommend a course of action for the work. All submissions are also read by a member of the editorial staff. Our editorial board reserves the right to reject submitted work at any time during the review process.
