Child Policy Forum of New York
The Children's Studies Center launched the Child Policy Forum of New York in 2007 with a CUNY Diversity Projects Development Fund grant. The huge success of the initial forum, which focused on children's rights and child policy issues, encouraged additional grants from other funders; this has allowed the forum series to flourish and grow.
With widespread support and collaboration within Brooklyn College and the City University of New York, the Children's Studies Center brings together key representatives from organizations like UNICEF and the Campaign for United States Ratification of the Convention on the Rights of the Child as well as distinguished representatives and leaders from a variety of sectors of government, the sciences, judiciary, legislature, academia, law enforcement, child advocacy communities, and others to these illuminating events.
