Requests for 24-Hour/After-Hours Access
Students seeking after-hours (limited) access to the Brooklyn College campus are provided permission for specific timeframes outside of normal operating hours, including weekends and holidays. Students seeking 24-hour (unlimited) access must meet the following criteria:
- Graduate students
- Students specializing in art / music programs
- Officially registered e-board members of campus student newspapers
- Lab research assistants
- Undergraduate students only with a specific reason
Permission must be requested each semester. Students must be currently enrolled at Brooklyn College in order to be considered for approval. Students must have the department chair's authorization, in writing. If the request is related to a student newspaper, individuals representing the newspaper must obtain authorization from their adviser. It must be presented in writing, stating specifics regarding the need for access. This written permission must be uploaded to the request.

- Incomplete requests will not be accepted.
- Please convert all written authorizations into PDF format to upload with your submission.
- Level of access is reviewed case by case in consultation with Public Safety.
- After-hours includes limited access after the college is closed. The college is open Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–11 p.m.; Saturday–Sunday, 7 a.m.–6 p.m.
