Photo Submissions Are Now Available!
If you would like to submit a photo along or instead of a video please consider submitting a photo under the following criteria(s):

- Photo with family and/or friends
- Photo holding “congratulatory” sign
- Photos with pets are also acceptable
Please be sure to submit photos in a JPEG or PNG formats.
How To Film Your Video
Please read the instructions below on how to best record your videos.
Ready?
We would like you to film on a smartphone! You can utilize selfies showing you with your cap and gowns and doing something cheerful. If you are going to use a camera person to record you with other individuals, please be sure to practice social distancing in your video and also ensure that masks are worn in your videos.
Lights!
Make sure there are no windows behind you, or else the footage will have white, blown-out backgrounds. Ideally they would have some light source on their face, be it from a window or desk lamp.
Roll Sound!
The best tip for having good audio is, avoid any sort of distracting background noise. Try to record in a relatively quiet place - but avoid the echo of an enclosed room as well.
Roll Camera!
The camera person (which can also be you, if you are doing a selfie) should hold the phone in landscape mode, so not like a cell phone, like a TV. The camera should be eye level with the person talking. If you are using a camera person, they should use both hands to grip the smart phone and keep their elbows close to their body to keep the shot as steady as possible. When ready to shoot, the camera person should tap the persons face on the smart phone screen to focus and lock exposure. If you record one video per question - the upload process will likely be a bit easier.
Action!
Please give us about 3 different takes and review the footage between them to make sure it looks good.
What To Say In Your Video
A simple cheerful congratulations message will do. Be sure to smile at all times during your video (even is mask is on).
Notes to Keep in Mind
- Be enthusiastic and positive!
- Humor is a plus :)
- Film in *visually appealing* locations
- If you have any other video footage or photos from other events that you would like to share instead, please do so, as long as they fall into the criteria being asked.
How To Upload Your Photos and Videos
When finished with your video(s), please upload them here:
Again, it may be easier to upload one video file per question. Be sure to include your first name and EMPLID in the file name. If you have problems with Dropbox - you can also send or share your files with sailbc302@gmail.com.

I hereby authorize the Cheers Committee of Brooklyn College to use and edit the submitted video content - my name, likeness, image, voice and participation in and performance on film, tape or otherwise for use in the state project above or parts thereof. I agree that the footage may be edited and otherwise altered at the sole discretion of the Producer and used in whole or in part for any and all broadcasting, non-broadcasting, audio/visual, and/or exhibition purposes in any manner or media.
