Things to Know

Athletics (Recreation Facilities)

Faculty and staff have access to the college's recreation facilities at a discounted membership fee.

Brooklyn College Faculty and Staff will also have access to the West Quad track on our athletics field for daily use at no cost. The current hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 11 am to 6 pm, Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm, and Sunday from Noon to 3 pm. The track will not be open if we have inclement weather, if it is being used by students participating in academic programs, or if it is being used by our athletic teams.

Campus and Community Safety Services

The Office of Campus and Community Safety Services offers a variety of safety tips and services (such as shuttle escort services, bicycle rack, hotline numbers, and lost and found) for the college community. All criminal actions or other emergencies occurring on campus must be reported immediately to the Office of Campus and Community Safety Services. The Annual Security Report, campus crime statistics, CUNY policies, and crime prevention tips are also available on the office's website.

Check Distribution

The Enrollment Services Center receives all state payroll checks and disburses them to college employees. Checks may be picked up after 3 p.m. on the Wednesday before payday. Those who have direct deposit may either pick up payroll stubs or have them sent to the department. Check distribution is located in the lobby of the West Quad Center. For questions or concerns, call 718.951.3907.

CUNY A!ert

CUNY A!ert is an emergency notification system that will enable the university's campuses to advise students, faculty, and staff of an emergency (a severe hurricane or snowstorm, for example), and provide timely information to protect lives and minimize campus disruption.
