Late-Add, Drop and Withdrawal Period Information
Late Enrollment Period (Summer 1: June 2–3; Summer 2: July 14–15)
Students may drop and/or add courses during this period. For possible fees and effects on tuition, check the Tuition and Fee Schedule. Enroll anytime online via CUNYfirst or in the Enrollment Services Center (ESC), 102 West Quad Center, during hours of operation.
Absolutely no adds are allowed after June 3 for Summer Session 1 and July 15 for Summer Session 2.
Drop Period (Summer 1: June 4–9; Summer 2: July 16–21)
Continuing students may drop courses online via CUNYfirst until June 9 for Summer Session 1 and July 21 for Summer Session 2. For effects on financial aid, contact the Financial Aid Office via e-mail or in 102 West Quad Center.
Dropped courses do not appear on transcripts.
Withdrawal Period—W Grade (Summer 1: June 10–23; Summer 2: July 22–August 4)
A W grade will stay on a student's transcript but will not count toward the GPA. However, 100 percent financial liability will be charged. Eligibility for financial aid may be effected for students who officially withdraw from classes. Before withdrawing from any class in which the enrollment status changes, students receiving financial aid are urged to contact the Financial Aid Office via e-mail or in 102 West Quad Center.

Graduate students may withdraw without department approval form.
