Karen Stern

Karen Stern is an associate professor of history who conducts research across disciplines of archaeology, history and religion and teaches courses on Mediterranean cultural history and material culture of Jews in the Greek and Roman worlds. She conducts field research throughout the Mediterranean and has excavated at multiple archaeological sites in Jordan, Greece, and Israel. She has taught at Dartmouth College, the University of Southern California and Brown University, and served as a research fellow of the NEH and Albright Institute of Archaeological Research.
