Mojúbàolú Olufúnké Okome is a professor of political science at Brooklyn College. She looks at the effects of globalization, post-colonialism, and postmodernity on economic and political transformation as well as gender, democracy and citizenship in Africa and the African diaspora.
She is currently a Fulbright Specialist Scholar and was previously a Leonard & Claire Tow Professor. She has served as a consultant for various NGOs, businesses, and government agencies, including the UN Economic Commission for Africa.
