Kenneth Gould is a professor of sociology and acting dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Brooklyn College. He is also professor of sociology and earth and environmental sciences at the CUNY Graduate Center. His research examines urban sustainability, climate change and resilience, environmental justice, and green gentrification in the US, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
He is co-author of Environment and Society, Local Environmental Struggles, The Treadmill of Production, and Green Gentrification. He is the 2018 recipient of the Frederick H. Buttel Distinguished Contribution Award from the Environment Section of the American Sociological Association.
