Mark Voelpel is the director of record for more than 60 commercials, three award-winning narrative films, a documentary, and a collection of short political satire videos. Voelpel has worked in a wide variety of roles in the film, television and media industries. He supervised visual effects for feature films such as The Shadow, Braveheart, Demolition Man and The Last Action Hero. He is a Clio-winning director of more than 60 television commercials for clients such as Samsung, Google, LG Digital, Chrysler, and Intel. Voelpel was a creative lead on Nike Fuelband which won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Marketing Festival. Voelpel has led VR projects for Volvo, Samsung, and Rihanna. He was the DP for a variety of short and feature films, including the nationally distributed and award-winning feature documentary One Nation Under God and the short The Strange Case of Balthazar Hyppolite, which was a finalist for Best Short for the Academy Awards. He conceived of and directed the movies, as well as the overall activist website, www.ourvision.us, which screened on 25 TV stations nationally, and won website of the day on Alexander Cockburn's Counterpunch. He recently co-wrote and directed the introductory marketing video for the NYSE IPO of Gingko Bioworks.
