Brooklyn College’s Murray Koppelman School of Business has earned accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International, the global accrediting body for business schools.
Offering degrees in accounting, business management, economics and finance, the Koppelman School now joins an elite group of the world's schools that confer business degrees at the bachelor level or higher.
“It is the hard work and dedication of our faculty and staff, and the commitment of the Brooklyn College Administration that has earned the Murray Koppelman School of Business the distinction of being the only AACSB accredited business school in Brooklyn,” said Brooklyn College President, Michelle J. Anderson.
Founded in 1916, AACSB is the largest business education network of students, educators, and businesses globally providing quality assurance, business education intelligence, and professional development services to more than 1,600 organizations and over 800 accredited business schools worldwide. The accreditation process measures the quality of educational services against 15 international standards that ensure continuous improvement and provide a focus for schools to deliver upon their academic program and mission.
“AACSB accreditation will give our students a competitive advantage in the job market, as well the satisfaction that they have obtained a business education of the highest quality,” said Willie Hopkins, dean of the Koppelman School of Business. "I am honored to receive this distinction."
“Today’s students are tomorrow’s business leaders,” says Stephanie M. Bryant, executive vice president, and chief accreditation officer of AACSB International. “The addition of the Murray Koppelman School of Business to the network of AACSB-accredited business schools will have a lasting positive impact for their institution, both locally and globally.”
