Brooklyn College was ranked one of the premiere institutions of higher learning in the country in the Princeton Review’s The Best 381 Colleges: 2017 Edition. The college has consistently ranked as a top American school by the Review for over a decade. The latest rankings add to the college’s long list of distinctions.
According to the Princeton Review, Brooklyn College students regard the college as “the perfect representative of Brooklyn as a borough and [of] success in the community,” and that it “educates its students in an environment that reflects diversity, opportunity (study abroad, research, athletics, employment) and support.”
The college’s faculty received high marks amongst that population as well, with students noting that professors are “really passionate about the subjects they teach and students’ career paths.” They also said that special programs, such as the Honors Academy and the Magner Career Center, distinguished the college as exceptionally preparing students through rigorous academics and exclusive access to internships, employment opportunities, and alumni mentorship.
Brooklyn College also ranked highly on other Princeton Review lists for 2017, including Best Northeastern Colleges, Colleges that Pay You Back, and Green Colleges, and ranked in the top five for Lots of Race/Class Interaction.
