Adobe Flash player EOL - December 31st, 2020
Why Adobe decided to stop supporting its Flash Player?
Flash has been long plagued with security issues – malicious data injection, exploit problems, cross scripting attacks and other vulnerabilities. Adobe first announced that they will cease support in 2017 but it was delayed and they have now finally decided to fully discontinue support for the Flash Player plugin after December 31st, 2020.

What does it mean for me?
You should avoid websites that continue to use Flash after that date. If you continue to use Flash after December 31, 2020, you will be putting your sensitive information at risk.
How can I tell if I have Flash installed?
You can visit this page https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html and select “Check Now”, it will indicate if Flash is installed. If it is, please uninstall it before the EOL date of 12/31/2020.
Is there anything I need to do?
To avoid any potential security issues in the future, you can uninstall your Flash Player NOW:
- Uninstall Flash Player (Windows): https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
- Uninstall Flash Player (Mac): https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html
- If you continue to use Windows XP or Window 7, and no longer receive updates from Microsoft, you need to remove Adobe Flash manually. If you are not sure what Windows operating system your computer has installed, click here to find out.
Note: Most browsers will soon automatically remove Flash support via updates.
What if I find Flash Player or updates available for download on a third-party website after December 31st, 2020, can I use it?
No, these versions of Flash Player are not authorized by Adobe. Unauthorized downloads are a common source of malware and viruses. Don’t risk it!
