After a 40 year career as one of the most prominent members of the real estate brokerage community, Ed Cohen joined long-time friend and associate Eugene Diaz as a partner and principal of Prism Capital Partners, LLC. Prism’s focus is on development and redevelopment, investment and management of multi property types throughout the Metropolitan area.

Prior to this, Mr. Cohen served as an Executive Director of Cushman & Wakefield, as President and Manager of Grubb & Ellis’ New York operations and as Executive Vice President and Manager of Grubb & Ellis’ New Jersey Office. Mr. Cohen had established and headed the Suburban Division for Wm. A. White & Sons in 1966 until its acquisition by Grubb & Ellis in 1986, representing major clients throughout the greater New York Metropolitan area.

During the course of his career, Mr. Cohen has completed hundreds of real estate transactions in this area. Among his landmark deals was the lease of an entire 400,000 square foot office building at the Harborside Financial Center complex in Jersey City, a transaction which established the New Jersey waterfront as an acceptable location for banks, stock brokerage firms and other financial institutions to relocate major back office operations.

Mr. Cohen was awarded the Cushman & Wakefield Brokerage “Service Excellence Award” for his outstanding achievement in the pursuit of business performance excellence and total client satisfaction and the firm’s “Strategic Agency Services Achievement Award” for outstanding performance for his client.
