Honors Credit for Regular Courses in Psychology
With the approval of the faculty instructor, a regular advanced-level course in psychology (3000 series) may be taken for honors credit. Students should meet with the instructor within the first five weeks of the semester to discuss the topic of honors work, and to agree upon expectations and requirements for honors credit in the course. Upon completion of requirements, the designation of "H" will be included with the course grade.
Important Note
Receipt of a letter grade "with Honors" in a regular course does not count toward eligibility to graduate with departmental honors in psychology. Students who wish to be considered for graduating with honors in psychology must complete a sequence of at least two 5000 or 5010 series courses, earn a letter grade "with Honors" for each course, and submit a copy of their written thesis report to the Psychology Department.
