Ingersoll Hall Improvements
After six years of planning, the Office of Facilities has begun critical infrastructure improvements and renovation of Ingersoll Hall and Ingersoll Hall Extension. The work includes adding new technology and equipment, renovating lecture halls, and building new labs. This semester, the work will include:
- replacing old laboratory fume hood exhaust systems with a more reliable and easier-to-maintain system,
- connecting chilled water lines throughout the buildings for air conditioning, and
- installing a generator that will protect ongoing scientific experiments in the event of power outages.
New laboratories will include:
- a new health and nutrition research and teaching lab, and
- three new biology research labs and a prep area.
In addition to the improvements in our science facilities, old lecture halls throughout the campus will be renovated with the addition of ADA accommodations, new seating, and the installation of up-to-date academic and media technology systems. First up is 148 Ingersoll Hall Extension.
