I received my Ph.D. in philosophy from the CUNY Graduate Center. While pursuing my degree, I was an ethics fellow at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. I taught at the City College of New York before coming to Brooklyn College.

My dissertation was on contemporary philosophical theories of happiness. I recently co-edited an anthology of classic and contemporary readings on happiness.
